Caltrans to Install Temporary Traffic Signals on State Route 150 Between Ojai and Santa Paula

Traffic in Both Directions Will Use One Lane on Alternating Basis

OJAI — The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) advises motorists that temporary traffic signals are scheduled for installation on or about Wednesday, June 12, on State Route 150 between Ojai and Santa Paula.

The temporary signals will operate for approximately three months as traffic in both directions will share a single available lane on an alternating basis during a highway construction project.

Drivers using SR-150 are advised to expect brief delays and allow extra travel time.

Caltrans is replacing a reinforced concrete box culvert under the two-lane highway at postmile 20.16 near the base of the Dennison Grade. The location is between Reeves Road and Dennison Park, or about a mile from the Ojai city limit.

Caltrans expects the construction to be completed by October. The schedule is weather-permitting and subject to change

Travelers can check highway closures and traffic conditions by going online to the Caltrans QuickMap at Quickmap.dot.ca.gov or using free apps available for both iPhones and Android devices.

Caltrans reminds drivers to “Be Work Zone Alert” and “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
