Reminder to Voters Planning to Drop Off Mail-in-Ballots at City Hall on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018

As a reminder to voters planning to drop off mail-in-ballots at City Hall on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018:

County of Ventura Elections staff will pick up the ballot drop-off box sometime in the afternoon on Election Day, well before City Hall closes at 5:00 p.m.

Once they have retrieved the ballot drop-off box we can no longer accept ballots.

Therefore if you are planning to drop off your ballots at City Hall on Election Day please bring your ballots in early,.

Ojai City Council Supports Voting “Yes” on Statewide Ballot Measure Proposition 12

The Ojai City Council voted unanimously at its October 23, 2018 Regular Meeting, to support Proposition 12 on the November 2018 statewide ballot.

Proposition 12 would establish new standards for confinement of specified farm animals and ban the sale of non-complying products.

The Council urges voters to vote “Yes” on Proposition 12.

The proposition follows upon the 2008 ballot measure, Proposition 2, which required that egg-laying hens, breeding pigs and veal calves have enough space to stand up,

Ojai Transition Design Information Session To Be Held Tuesday, October 30, 2018

Interested in learning more about the City of Ojai’s partnership with Carnegie Mellon University/Flip Labs regarding climate resilience? Residents of the Ojai Valley are invited to attend an information session on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at Ojai City Hall.

 

Cheryl Dahle (adjunct professor and Flip Labs CEO) and Terry Irwin (professor and Head of School) from CMU will present about the initiative, provide progress updates, and answer questions from the community.

Ojai Cannabis Testing Laboratory Application and Regulations Now Available

On Thursday, October 25, 2018, the City of Ojai released regulations and applications for Cannabis Testing Laboratory services in the City.  Those who wish to obtain an application, may do so by clicking here or they can be picked up at Ojai City Hall, 401 S. Ventura Street. All completed applications must be received at Ojai City Hall
