Supervisor Bennet’s Office Organizing a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program Training for the Ojai Valley

In this era of ever-increasing natural disasters and on the heels of the Thomas Fire, Supervisor Steve Bennett in partnership with Ventura County Fire is pleased to announce a series of disaster preparedness classes for the Ojai Valley.

Spectrum Outage Effecting City Livestream

The City is currently experiencing intermittent outages of its high-speed network connection. Spectrum is trouble-shooting. However, the City’s livestream of the government access channel will likely be down until resolved. The government access channel is still available to view on Channel 10 (on Spectrum), and tonight’s Planning Commission meeting will be recorded and available to view on Thursday morning.

Pet Sterilization & Microchipping Q & A’s- Ordinance Takes Effect on February 13, 2019.

On February 13, 2018, the City adopted an ordinance that takes effect on February 13, 2019, requiring pet owners to have pets sterilized and microchipped as a means of promoting the public health, safety and welfare of both humans and pets in the city.
Pet owners have a one-year grace period to comply with the

People Like You- A Disaster Preparedness Film Now Available For Viewing

County Supervisor Steve Bennet’s webpage (http://www.ventura.org/…/district-1-supervisor-steve-bennett) has been updated to include useful emergency information. It now includes the “People Like You” film, which includes information on creating emergency supply kits, sheltering in place, emergency communications, triage and first aid, utilities, fire, earthquakes, hazardous materials, hurricanes and tornadoes.
