Ojai City Council Takes Positions on Four Statewide Ballot Measures

 

The Ojai City Council voted unanimously to take formal positions on four ballot measures which will appear on the November 2018 statewide ballot.

The Council supports the following three ballot measures:

  • Proposition 1: (SB 3, Beall) Veterans and Affordable Housing Bond Act of 2018.
  • Proposition 2: No Place Like Home “Homeless Housing” Ratification.
  • Proposition 3: Supply and Water Quality Bond Act of 2018.

Ojai Day 2018 to be Held Saturday,October 20, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Ojai Day 2018 will be held tomorrow Saturday,October 20, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

The first Ojai Day was held on April 7,1917; the year Edward D. Libbey deeded the park to the newly formed Civic Association. The special day was eventually revived in 1991 as an annual event to be held on the third Saturday in October.

Please join the City of Ojai and participate in the Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drills this morning.

At 10:18 a.m. this morning please join the City of Ojai in emergency preparation and participate by dropping, covering and holding.

 

Step 1) Drop, Cover, and Hold On: At 10:18 a.m. everyone should drop to the ground, take cover under a table or desk, and hold on to it as if a major earthquake were happening (stay down for at least 60 seconds).
