Caltrans to Begin Construction on State Route 33 to Repair and Replace Pavement

$12.5 Million Pavement Project Starts on State Route 33 in Ventura County

VENTURA — This month, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is starting a $12.5 million project to repair and replace pavement and make other improvements on State Route 33 (Ojai Freeway) in and near the city of Ventura.

This week, crews will work at night to place temporary concrete barriers (“K-rail”) along the freeway at bridges in preparation for upgrading guard rails.

City of Ojai Takes Pledge to Participate in California Clean Air Day

Today, October 3, 2018, marks California Clear air day, the City of Ojai has taken the pledge to do its part and help clean California’s air. Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Wildfire Mitigation Community Forum Wednesday, October 10,2018

Southern California Edison is hosting a community meeting on wildfire mitigation and public safety at the Moorpark Community Center – Apricot Room 799 Moorpark Ave. Moorpark, CA 93021. Wednesday, October 10,2018 from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm.

Southern California Edison states, “Protecting you and your family from the threat of wildfires is our company’s highest priority.  Taking important actions to reduce the risk of wildfires has long been a focus for SCE.  Today, we continue to look for ways to enhance our operational practices and strengthen our infrastructure to address the increased threat of wildfires.”
