The Committee to Approve Public Art (CAPA) is the designated, standing City committee which is responsible for reviewing public art plans for private developments and making a recommendation to the City’s Arts Commission. CAPA includes five voting members: three members of the City’s Arts Commission, one member of the City’s Planning Commission, and one member-at-large appointed by the Arts Commission. CAPA meets on an as-needed basis. The staff liaison is the arts commission staff liaison; the deputy city manager serves that role.
