At the November 11, 2014 the Ojai City Council voted to reduce building fees by 50% for any improvements which fall under the following three programs whether the project is funding through the programs or not.

PACE enables residential and commercial property owners to install energy and water efficient improvements and renewable energy systems by having a special assessment put on their property tax bill. Payments are made through their local county with their property taxes over time.

Through the emPower program residents can receive a free inspection to identify energy saving home improvements. In some cases they can also get up to $25,000 in loans to implement the improvements.
