Starting in February 2019 for residential customers and May 2019 for non-residential customers, Clean Power Alliance will be the new electricity provider for residents and businesses in the City of Ojai.

Clean Power Alliance (www.cleanpoweralliance.org) is comprised of 31 public agencies across Los Angeles and Ventura counties working together to bring clean energy choices to our communities. As part of our commitment to protecting the environment and building resiliency, the City of Ojai has chosen 100% Green Power as the default for our community, which provides 100% renewable content and you the opportunity to join us in leading the way to a greener future. Because we’re also committed to equity, customers enrolled in discount programs such as CARE and FERA will be enrolled in 100% Green Power but charged the same rates as they were previously paying to Southern California Edison (SCE), and therefore will see no bill impact while participating in the green economy.

The best part is: the choice is yours! Clean Power Alliance offers three rate options designed to suit the diverse needs of our community. If you decide 100% Green Power is not the best fit, you can select one of Clean Power Alliance’s other two options: Lean Power, which provides 36% renewable content at the lowest possible cost, and Clean Power, which provides 50% renewable content and supports a cleaner future. Read more about rate options at www.cleanpoweralliance.org/rates. No matter what you choose, our community will soon enjoy the benefits of Clean Power Alliance including local control, stable and competitive rates, and environmentally friendly energy sources.

You will receive four notices via mail with instructions on how to choose between the different rate options along with customer support information.

You also can opt out without penalty and your electricity generation charges will remain with SCE, but we hope you will explore your new choices for renewable power at competitive rates with Clean Power Alliance!
