City of Ojai Preparing for Implementation of Ventura County’s Stay Well Order

The County Public Health Officer announced that on May 8, 2020, the County will move forward with Stage 2 of the framework for reopening: Reopening Lower-Risk Businesses. This will allow retail businesses, such as clothing stores, bookstores, sporting goods stores and florists, for example, to reopen with curb side delivery, as well as the related manufacturing and supply chain businesses.

May 7, 2020 Ventura County Stay Well at Home Order Modification 

VENTURA, Calif. – The County of Ventura has reached an important milestone for our community, County and our local economy. The Public Health Officer announced today a new modified Stay Well VC Health Order to align with the State of California’s four-stage framework for reopening. May 7, 2020 City of Ojai COVID-19 Update

Today, Governor Newsom eased some social distancing restrictions for businesses such as clothing stores, florists, bookstores and sporting goods shops and other types of bricks-and-mortar stores to open their doors for delivery and curbside pickup only. This order will be effective, Friday, May 8, 2020.  In-store shopping will still not be permitted.  This order does not include other close-contact businesses, such as dine-in restaurants and hair salons.

The City of Ojai and Ventura County will release updated local orders as soon as possible after reviewing the details of the State order.
