Find a Testing Site

Governor Newsom announced a new website to help Californians find a testing site near them.  Also the State of California would also like to remind you of the following do’s and don’ts during the stay at home order.

Do:

  •  Stay home
  •  Avoid people outside your household
  •  Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  •  Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue
  •  Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
  •  Maintain a safe social distance of 6 feet whenever outside of the house
  •  Wear a cloth face covering if you go outside

Do Not:

  •  Leave the house except for essential activities
  •  Shake hands
  •  Touch your face
  •  Go to doctor unless you call first
  •  Stockpile masks or gloves

Testing for COVID-19

Testing for COVID-19has expanded to multiple locations throughout the County. Any Ventura County resident who meets the following criteria may schedule an appointment for testing by calling a State Location for essential workers, at 1-888-634-1123, or the County’s Ambulatory Urgent Care testing sites, at 805-652-7660. To be eligible for testing you must meet one of the two following criteria: 1. Unsheltered

330 persons are sheltering in Project Room Key. The County of Ventura, with guidance from the California Department of Public Health, took steps from the beginning of the COVID response efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19 among vulnerable populations in the community. The County secured housing options at local motels in the cities of Ventura, Oxnard and Newbury Park. County agencies continue to coordinate and provide transportation, medical and mental health care, nutritional needs and on-site security.
