The September 14th Temptations Concert Has Been Rescheduled to April 12, 2019

The September 14th Temptations concert, which was scheduled to take place at the Libbey Bowl, has been postponed until April 12, 2019.

The Temptations are an American vocal group who released a series of successful singles including “My Girl,” “The Way You Do The Things You Do,” “Get Ready,” “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg,” and so many more.

Ventura County Green Business (VCGB) Program is Actively Certifying Businesses to Go Green

The Ventura County Green Business (VCGB) Program is actively certifying businesses to go green throughout the County. To help local businesses reach the triple bottom line (people, planet, profit), VCGB is hosting a workshop on September 26, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Ventura County Community Foundation in Camarillo.

During the workshop, VCGB will provide information on the green business program, green financing options, updates on recycling state mandates, and end with a Q&A panel as well as a networking opportunity.

Thomas Fire Evacuees Invited to Participate in Focus Groups August 25 and 26, Participants will Receive $100 Amazon Gift Card

Researchers from UC Berkeley are surveying Ventura County residents who either evacuated or received an evacuation notice during the Thomas Fire. Their research is an effort to better understand the efficacy and the effects of evacuations and emergency notices. Two focus groups will be held August 25th and 26th at the E.P. Foster Library in Ventura.


Participants must have either evacuated or received an evacuation order during the Thomas Fire.

VCCDC Offers Disaster Recovery Grants For Thomas Fire Victims

Ventura County Community Development Corporation (VCCDC), a local non-profit community economic development organization, has created a disaster recovery assistance grant program for Ventura and Santa Barbara County residents who were affected by the Thomas Fire and/or Montecito Mudslides. The funds come from an $800,000 commitment made by Wells Fargo to assist with economic recovery for those affected by the Thomas Fire and Montecito Mudslide. The initial $300,000 in grant funds were awarded to five local non-profits,
