Memorial Plaque Honoring the Late David Mason to be Unveiled and Dedicated on Monday, May 28, 2018

A memorial plaque honoring the late David Mason will be dedicated on Monday, May 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the pergola on Ojai Avenue, in front of Libbey Park.

The plaque recognizes Mr. Mason’s lifelong contributions to the community. The event is open to the public.

Mr. Mason passed away in July of 2017 at the age of 78.

City Finance Director Completes Term as CMTA President

City Finance Director Rudy Livingston recently completed his term as president of the California Municipal Treasurer’s Association (CMTA) and presided over the association’s annual conference in April. Prior to serving as the CMTA president, Rudy served one year as the organization’s president-elect and will now serve an additional year as the past-president.

CMTA serves close to 800 members from over 320 cities and agencies throughout California.  CMTA was founded in 1958 to provide training and support to elevate the quality of municipal treasurers in California.

Ojai Police & Sheriff’s Community Shred Day June 16, 2018

Residents of the Ojai Valley are invited to participate in the Ojai Police & Sheriff Community Shred Day on Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Nordhoff High School.Residents are encouraged to bring any and all documents that may need to be shredded in order to help fight identity theft.

The Explorer Post is asking for a donation per box of paper to fund events. All boxes may not exceed 24″x24″
