On November 16, the State of California announced that Ventura County was one of 41 counties moved back to the purple (or most restrictive) COVID tier assignment, which means several businesses, including restaurants, must close indoor operations. Today, Gov. Newsom and the Cal Department of Public Health announced a statewide limited curfew for all counties in the purple tier, including Ventura County – starting Saturday, all non-essential businesses and all gatherings are prohibited from 10PM to 5AM, from November 21 through December 21, unless extended.
The state’s order requires the following:
-All non-essential business must close from 10pm to 6AM every day, starting Saturday November 21.
-Any gathering of people from more than one household must cease from 10pm to 5AM every day, starting Saturday November 21.
The City would like to take this opportunity to remind you to wear a face covering when at businesses or when outdoors if unable to keep 6 feet of distance. Free COVID-19 Testing in Ojai Extended through December 28, 2020
The City of Ojai and County of Ventura have announced additional free COVID-19 testing dates in Ojai through December 28, 2020. Testing is to be held at Sarzotti Park, 510 Park Rd. Ojai CA. 93023 every Monday beginning November 9, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Testing is available to the public, including to those who have the slightest suspicion of having COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with it. Appointments are not required and you do not need to have health insurance.

• Monday, December 7, 2020
• Monday, December 14, 2020
• Monday, December 21, 2020
• Monday, December 28, 2020
Outdoor Business Permits
If you are a restaurant or business owner, and would like to discuss potential outdoor business permits, please contact the City’s Community Development Department at (805)646-5581 ext. 112. With the recent move to purple tier, the City will be continuing to encourage outdoor business permits so that businesses, customers, and employees, can stay safe while supporting Ojai businesses.
