With Super Bowl LV just around the corner, it is important to remember that gathering with people outside of your immediate household increases the spread of COVID-19. Much of the recent holiday surge in COVID cases is believed to have occurred from private in-home gatherings of several households. The City of Ojai encourages everyone to avoid these gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic, and to follow the guidelines set by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Ventura County Public Health Care Officer, such as social distancing, mask wearing, and hand washing frequently.

The safest way to watch the Super Bowl this year, is at home with the people you live with or through a virtual watch party. Travel and gatherings with those who do not live with you, even family and friends, can increase your chances of getting or spreading COVID-19.
