Business Grants are Available!


Ventura County Business Assistance Program may provide vital grant funding to local businesses and nonprofit organizations in the amount of $5,000. Grants can cover costs for such things as payroll support, rent and lease payments, costs for personal protective equipment, purchases related to business operation or other expenses from covid-19 impacts.

Basic Eligibility Criteria
» The business or nonprofit organization maintains a business license in Ventura County.
» The business or nonprofit organization was in business on, or before, March 17, 2020.
» In 2019, the business or nonprofit organization had total annual gross revenue between $25,000 and $2 million.
» For new businesses and nonprofit organizations established on or after January 1, 2020 but before March 18, 2020, total revenue between January 1, 2020 and July 8, 2020 must be between $25,000 and $2 million.
» The business or nonprofit has registered with www.vcreopens.com if permitted and required
to register.
» The nonprofit organization is exempt from tax under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) per an IRS determination letter.

The program has been developed by the County of Ventura in consultation with the Ventura County Community Foundation, the Economic  evelopment Collaborative, and Women’s Economic Ventures.
